Unseen community Conversations
After more than 30 years working alongside small nonprofit organizations, I’ve come to believe that some of the best ideas emerge from honest conversations with people doing the work every day. Inspired by the themes in my book, The UnSeen Fundraiser, these community conversations create space for nonprofit leaders to step away from the daily demands, connect with peers, and share ideas, challenges, and solutions in a supportive environment.
This informal gathering is designed for executive directors, development professionals, and nonprofit leaders navigating today's rapidly changing nonprofit landscape. Rather than another presentation or networking event, our goal is to create an honest conversation about the realities of leadership and the opportunities we have to learn from one another.
Before we begin, participants will complete a brief anonymous survey to help identify the areas where they feel most unseen in their work. While inspired by The UnSeen Fundraiser, this is not a fundraising workshop. The discussion will be shaped by the experiences and priorities of everyone in the room, with topics ranging from fundraising and board engagement to leadership, organizational capacity, communications, and whatever matters most to those attending.
We'll begin with a short reading from the book to spark the conversation, then spend our time learning from one another over great food from the neighborhood.
Join us for a meal and candid conversation, shared learning, meaningful connection, and the reminder that none of us has to navigate this work alone!
